The rules changes are in.And they suck.No longer can special-team kickoff coverage personnel take a running start downfield. They have to pose at the kickoff line until the kicker actually toes the ball down the field.And guess what? They can’t line up unbalanced. It’s five guys on one side of the kicker, five on the other. No ifs, ands or butts. Uh, buts.That ought to make onside kick attempts interesting. Special team coaches, you can bet, are working on those kick-it-into-the-ground-and-get-a-high-bounce-and-pray attempts.Good luck with that.
