After a strong start to the season, the New York Mets have crashed back to earth in spectacular fashion, going 16-27 after an 11-1 start to the year.Friday’s 7-4 loss to the Chicago Cubs was enough for rookie manager Mickey Callaway, who held a team meeting to call the players out for not playing the game the right way after previously saying he wouldn’t do so. Friday was the Mets’ ninth loss in 12 games, and they’re doing anything they can to stem the tide. Callaway sounds a lot more concerned than his boss does, who has been perceived as flippant towards the team’s recent struggles.
