Canelo Álvarez and Gennady Golovkin didn’t fight on May 5. And if recent reports are true, they’re not going to fight ever again. While both Oscar De La Hoya (Canelo’s promoter) and Tom Loeffler (GGG’s promoter) were willing to compromise, there was one catch. Golovkin just wanted parity, a 50-50 split between the two competitors. But that’s not going to happen. And per ESPN’s Dan Rafael, De La Hoya says that’s not happening.“He’s stubborn and wanting 50-50, and it’s not going to happen.
