Twins have special evening planned for second annual Prince Night

Thursday would have marked Prince’s 60th birthday and on Friday night at Target Field, the revered late musician will receive a great tribute from his hometown major league team. The Twins are set to host the second annual Prince Night at the downtown Minneapolis ballpark, and many special things are planned to honor the memory of the iconic, Minnesota-born superstar who never strayed too far away from his home state. Some of the highlights of the evening dedicated to Prince, who passed away in April 2016 from a drug overdose, via the Star Tribune: • Twins players and staff will wear Prince-themed T-shirts during batting practice. The shirts will be auctioned off at twinsbaseball.com to fund music grants for the Minneapolis Public Schools. • A Prince Model C guitar will be on display on the Home Run Porch in left field in the high-tech Digital Clubhouse. • Postgame Prince-themed fireworks.
