Colangelo in statement: I didn't know about wife's Twitter accounts

Bryan Colangelo resigned from his position as the general manager of the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, but he continues to insist he had no knowledge of the burner Twitter accounts that were apparently created by his wife.In a statement after the Sixers parted ways with Colangelo, the law firm the team hired to conduct an investigation into the social media activity said the evidence supports that Colangelo’s wife, Barbara Bottini, created the Twitter accounts and posted content. The firm also concluded that Colangelo was “careless and in some instances reckless” in sharing sensitive information about the team. Shortly after the law firm revealed its findings, Colangelo released a statement of his own in which he denied ever intentionally sharing information and said his wife “acted independently and without my knowledge or consent.” We have already seen evidence to support that the accounts were created by Colangelo’s wife, but you can understand why his reputation has been tarnished.
