It sounds as if Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews won’t suffer any ill effects long-term after breaking his nose over the weekend. The veteran linebacker was hit in the face by a line drive at a charity softball event, but according to coach Mike McCarthy, there should be no long-term issues with his health once he gets the situation surgically corrected. Scary as Matthews’s injury was, it could have been a lot worse. He should be good to go after surgery and a period of recovery. Now we wonder if the Packers will have long-term concerns about charity softball games instead.
