Johnny Manziel is back, football fans. Well, sort of.While Manziel hasn’t seen an NFL field since 2015 with the Cleveland Browns, he’s playing professional football again. But this time, it’s with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Friday would mark his debut, and it wasn’t too bad of one despite the defeat. By the end of the game, the Tiger-Cats fell to the Toronto Argonauts by a score of 36-18. Manziel, meanwhile, would take over for starter Jeremiah Masoli after the first seven drives of the game — completing 9-of-11 passes for 80 yards without a score, per ESPN’s Mike Rodak.In fact, in each of Manziel’s five possessions under center, the Tiger-Cats couldn’t score. But on his final drive, there was plenty of promise. After advancing the ball from their own 29 yard-line to Toronto’s 12, an intentional grounding call against Manziel derailed the drive.
