Stephen Curry is ‘very likely’ to return for Game 2

The Golden State Warriors didn’t need Stephen Curry in Game 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans. But it looks like they’ll be getting him back ahead of Game 2. Ahead of Game 1, head coach Steve Kerr would rule Curry out. But he says he’s “very likely” to suit up for Game 2.Curry, of course, hasn’t played all postseason long while recovering from a knee injury. In fact, injuries would limit him to just 51 appearances this season. And in 75 postseason appearances, he is averaging 26.2 points per game, 6.6 assists per game and 5.1 rebounds per game.Again, the Warriors didn’t need him in Game 1. But Curry is the player that makes Golden State run. During the regular season, he would average 26.1 points, 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds while pacing the league in free throw percentage (92.1). But that’s not all. He’s also shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three-point range. The Warriors just won by 22 points last night. Is it only going to get worse for the Pelicans?
