Fedor Emelianenko questioned by FBI for links to Trump, Cohen
Fedor Emelianenko, arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time, was questioned at his hotel room this past Tuesday by the FBI in regards to his connections to U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen. The contents of that discussion was not disclosed by Emelianenko’s manager, Jerry Millen.FBI agents were also in attendance for Emelianenko’s Saturday night heavyweight bout for Bellator against Frank Mir.Emelianenko’s connection to Trump dates back to 2008, when Emelianenko headlined two events for Affliction Entertainment MMA, a promotion in which Trump held an ownership stake. The promotion folded after those two events. Michael Cohen was listed as the Chief Operating Officer of Affliction’s MMA division.As a Russian celebrity, Emelianenko has been photographed with Putin on several occasions.Emelianenko’s meeting with the FBI was first reported by the Telegraph of London.
